Contains Shell Max - for extreme turtle shell health and hardener.
A specially formulated block that conditions the water and releases beneficial minerals that are optimal for turtle health.
This block releases calcium with vitamin D3 and other minerals into the water slowly. The minerals are ideal for the prevention of shell softening. This occurs when the water becomes too acidic leading to the shell and skin burning. The health block also has pH buffer ingredients to reduce acid and neutralise ammonia, a byproduct of the turtle's waste which will make the water toxic if not neutralised.
One 110g block will treat up to 200-300 litres of water.
To calculate approximate aquarium capacity:
Length x Width x Height and divide by 1,000 = Volume in Litres
Measurements should be taken in centimetres with the height being equal to the water level.
Note:
It is also very important for the turtle to have a place to enter and leave the water allowing the shell time to dry out. Natural sunlight or artificial UV lighting is crucial for turtle health.
Regular water changes to maintain water quality will also help to keep your turtle strong and healthy.
